Grid-connected Operation of PV Power Generation in the 1st Half of 2020

According to industry statistics, in the first half of 2020, China’s newly installed photovoltaic power generation capacity was 11.52 million kw, including 7.082 million kw for centralized photovoltaic power generation and 4.435 million kw for distributed. As of the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation reached 216 million kw, including 149 million kw of centralized photovoltaic and 67.07 million kw of distributed. In terms of the new installed capacity layout, more new installed capacity was added in north China and east China, reaching 4.39 and 2.19 million kw respectively.

In the first half of the year, China’s photovoltaic power generation capacity was 127.8 billion kw/h, an increase of 20% over the same period of last year; the number of photovoltaic utilization hours in China was 595 hours, with a year-on-year increase of 19 hours. The utilization hours of photovoltaic in northeast China was the highest, reaching 771 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 19 hours; in central China, such numbers were the lowest, as 493 hours, with a year-on-year increase of 46 hours.
