Slocable’s 2000V DC Solar Cables obtained TÜV Rheinland Certification
As global photovoltaic systems place increasing emphasis on durability and long-term reliability, system voltage levels have continued to evolve.
From 1000V systems 30 years ago, to 1500V, and now 2000V photovoltaic systems, the industry is moving toward higher power output, lower system costs, and improved lifecycle performance.
Slocable has consistently focused on technical advancement within the photovoltaic industry.
This week, Slocable’s 2000V DC Solar Cables, covering copper and aluminium conductors with cross-sections from 2.5 mm² to 240 mm², have successfully obtained TÜV Rheinland certification.
The certification marks an important step for Slocable as a qualified supplier for 2000V photovoltaic systems, enabling the company to support next-generation high-voltage solar projects, including large-scale ground-mounted power plants and more demanding installation environments, with reliable and safe cable solutions.
The scope of certification includes DC 2000V voltage rating, a wide conductor size range, and testing under demanding environmental conditions. This further confirms Slocable’s technical capability and product reliability in high-voltage photovoltaic applications.
In the future, Slocable will continue to work closely with global EPC contractors, module manufacturers, and installation partners to support the wider deployment of 2000V photovoltaic systems.
