1. Confirm the route

2) Plan the cable path as a whole to reduce repeated excavation of cable trenches;
3) Minimize the number of crossing pipelines, railways and other power cables, and reduce the number of crossing walls and floors;
4) Reduce the damage to the cable from environmental factors, and prevent the cable from being affected by external mechanical forces, chemical corrosion, vibration, and geothermal;
5) Drainage ditch, gas pipe, main water supply pipe, weak point line, etc. are provided on one side of the road, and the power cable should be laid on the other side of the road.

 

2. Choose the appropriate terminal

        There are some problems in the production of AC terminals on the project site, mainly:
1) The connecting terminals do not match
        The more prominent problem in the domestic promotion and application of aluminum cables is that matching connectors are difficult to purchase. Therefore, some sites use copper-aluminum transition terminals or other alloy connectors that do not match the performance of aluminum alloy cables. Such usage cannot guarantee the safe use of cables and will leave hidden dangers.
2) Inconsistent terminal size
        At present, most power terminals, including complete sets of electrical design, adopt copper cable specifications and size standards. Aluminum cables or aluminum alloy cables are different from copper cables due to their current carrying capacity. During use, the cross-sectional area is increased to meet the current-carrying requirements, which causes the cable to be mismatched with the original electrical installation hole size. At present, the common method is to transfer copper bars, or to wear down or cut off part of the conductor to reduce the cross-sectional area. Both of these methods will bring greater safety hazards.
3) Irregular crimping during installation
