Kyoto City, Japan establishes “zero initial cost” solar power supporting sites for enterprises

The city of Kyoto and a company that provides a "zero-yen solar" service announced that it will introduce the facility at zero initial cost for city operators who are considering the introduction of solar power generation equipment, and establish a website "Kyoto City Solar Platform" to promote matching.

At the time of opening, there were already 11 optional packages.

The website launched a "0 yen solar energy" plan, which has been confirmed to meet the requirements set by the city of Kyoto, so companies can use it with peace of mind.

We will set up a query window based on the status (age, structure, power consumption, etc.) of the facilities owned by the city operator to support the planned use.

"0 yen solar energy" mainly uses the PPA (Power Sales Contract) model, and business operators install and own solar power generation equipment at the customer's facilities, and then supply the generated electricity.

In addition to being able to install solar power generation equipment without incurring initial investment and maintenance costs, consumers such as factories and commercial facilities can also consume the generated electricity indoors.

Since electricity can be used even in the event of a power outage due to a disaster, it is expected to be used for disaster prevention.

Kyoto City’s goal is to achieve zero net carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, and is committed to expanding the penetration rate of solar power, which is the city’s largest renewable energy source.

The opening of the site will promote the introduction of "0 yen solar energy" by city operators.
