        The solar roof system is relatively simple to understand, that is, it can convert light energy into usable energy. As for Powerwall, it is simply an “energy wall” energy storage device, which can store electricity from photovoltaic power generation systems as well as electricity from the grid.

        Among them, because the grid electricity has a certain discount when the price of electricity is higher during the off-peak period, Powerwall can store energy when the electricity price is low, and generate electricity when the electricity price is high, and it can be used as an emergency in the event of a power outage. This seemingly “power bank” device can also use Tesla’s application to monitor power generation and power consumption in real time, and set charge and discharge preferences to optimize energy self-sufficiency, power outage protection, and save energy.

        In addition to the home version of “Powerwall”, this device also corresponds to the commercial version of “Powerpack”, which is mainly used in public places such as hospitals and schools. It is understood that this device has been installed and used in some overseas families. At the same time, data shows that by installing the Tesla energy storage system Powerwall, a household in Australia has reduced its annual electricity cost by 92%.

        A few days ago, Tesla officially inaugurated an integrated solar-storage-charging supercharger station in Lhasa. The statement “establishing a clean energy recycling ecological chain with the help of solar resources” can essentially be understood as a relationship with Tesla’s energy department. The solar roof system to be sold works on the same principle as the Powerwall household battery pack.

        Although the popularization of solar roof systems in China has certain difficulties, such as the problems of property management and roof use right in domestic high-rise housing, it still has the market opportunity to promote for some rural families, self built houses in urban villages and urban villas. The Powerwall household battery pack, which can store and discharge energy according to the current price of the power grid, has no difficulty in application. Once large-scale sales are carried out, the future market prospect is obviously more optimistic.

        This means that Tesla will establish the main infrastructure conditions for solar photovoltaic systems, home version Powerwall and commercial version Powerpack on the power generation and energy storage side in building the energy ecology of the Chinese market, while the power consumption side has established a super Vehicle energy supplement facilities such as charging piles and destination charging piles.
